Ummm... am I the only one concerned that this might be our let down game of the season? You take 40 twenty something players, fill their heads full of thoughts that they are SUPPOSED to win, and we may end up with a loss that will send shockwaves through buffalo and the organization.

I hope it won't happen, but it has happened in the past.

I do not believe the Drew will allow it :)

I hope you're right, CP. I remember we got beaten by a pathetic Bucs team back when we were so good in the late 80s and early 90s because we took them too lightly.

Our O could put up 80 on these guys. I think we'll do fine.

2-3 teams shouldn't have let down games

Carr has been sacked 4 billion times this year, and should give schobel a oppertunity to add onto his sack total.

Their offense isn't good! But then again, neither is our D.

Houston will score on us. The question is how much.

Drew will do his usual of between 27 and 40-some points. Somehow though, I agree w/ Pride in that this could be our "letdown" game of the year here. The Texans do have a good defense.

Since all we can do is pass, they don't have to focus on anything else. Hopefully this past game was an exception and Drew hasn't slipped into a 2 or 3 game skid. But a couple of big TOs and we can easily lose that one.

We are not a team that can afford to take anyone for granted. Then Niners had as strong a passing game as we did in '00 and absolutely no D, better than ours even, yet they emerged at season's end at 6-10.

If we're not careful, that's exactly where we'll be. I have no idea how we're gonna beat teams w/ running games and good Ds from here on out. We will see our passing game shutdown either due to good D on an occasion or two, or by big plays such as on Sunday.

There are 4 basic components to executing a good game in the NFL. They are, in order:

Solid Defense
Ability to run the ball effectively
Good STs
A passing offense

The status quo and well-known and time-tested effective minimal requirements for doing well are a solid defense and a good rushing offense to compliment. We have neither. As a matter of fact, we're amongst the league's worst in both.

Our STs is average at the very best.

Our passing offense is obvious. But then again, it is not nearly as important as the other 3. Our 2-3 record and close games in our 2 wins easily testifies to that.
