I don't see him listed as being a head coach anywhere here (http://www.kcchiefs.com/coach.asp?coach_category=Coaches&coach_name=Al+Saunders) but I did find this quote:

Born in London, England, he became one of only four foreign-born head coaches in NFL history after becoming a naturalized U.S. citizen in ’60.
