One good reason why Coughlin is NOT here...

Coughlin must now tend to his first task of turning around last year’s 4-12 disaster, building a staff. It is believed he could be interested in the freewheeling Kevin Gilbride as offensive coordinator. Former Bears coach Dick Jauron, who entered coaching as a member of Coughlin’s staff in Jacksonville, or his old Jacksonville coordinator John Pease could get consideration as defensive coordinator.

Sweet. Imagine what KG's year would've been like this year with the scrutuny of the NY media. To all NFC East teams, I tell you this, "BLITZ!"

Gilbride was his coordinator down in Jax...he had him under control (one of GW weaknesses) had some game plans and the offense put up monster numbers with Brunell, Smith and McCardell...

For all the education and practice each of us undergoes, the achievment of mastery is ultimately the outcome of a personal quest for understanding.

I wonder how many times Coughlin had to punch KG in the nose to get him under control. I wish GW wouldn't hit him too.

yea that was the one year KG actually ran the ball.

GW made a huge mistake giving KG his word that he would not interfere with his play calls. Unfourtunatly for us GW was a man of his word!
