Well we may end up with Fassell as our HC and maybe bring Jauron on as DC.

Under what role? He's under contract and can only go if he's promoted.

Correct, Gray could only go if fired or named head coach...try again, please.

He did not say. He just said Jerry Gray is comming in as a defensive coach. TD must know the new HC was gonna fire him if he would let him go.

I am trying to find a link but no luck so far. Being a former Redskin I imagine Thiesman has sources in the organization that let hm know whats going on so I don't doubt him.

I am only repeating what Thiesman said. I am not saying it's a fact!

Joe Thiesman is the biggest DB in the world. I hate even hearing him talk.

Interesting. If this is indeed true, does it mean LeBeau is stepping into that role?

All he said was Williams was going to be DC and Gray was going to be brought in to work with him.

He could be blowing smoke for all I know.

Don't kill the messenger:wave:

Good, I hope he does go and takes everyone except LeBeau with him...I hate our defensive philosophy and scheme even if it was rated #2. It is too schizo...either it does really good or it gets lit up like barnstraw.

We can let Gray go if we want to let him go.

Normal protocol for guys you want to keep is to make them honor their contract, however it is common courtesy to let people go interview for higher positions.

Gray is nothing special.

Normally you're not allowed to make lateral moves while under contract, but this is a different situation in that we don't have a HC. Even though he's still under contract Gray really doesn't have any job security with the Bills. Donahoe acknowledged that during his press conference and said he would work with any assisstants if they wished to go somewhere else. Knowing that the new HC could come in and say he wants all his own people, it wouldn't be fair for TD to make anyone stay. So I'm sure he'd let Gray leave even if it was for a lesser role.

Its better that he goes. Our new head coach is going to want to bring in his own people anyways. So why fire the guy and have to pay his salary? Just let him go and then Ralph doesn't have to pay for someone who's fired.
