Question I need answered

Why does Curtis Brown play on the Sabres Power Play? Why? He is not an offensive player, he is not a goal scorer, he is not a playmaker. He should be made to sit in the locker room while the Sabres are on the power play, so he can't even see the ice.

It shows that your team lacks depth. If he's on the ice for PP's, then I'd be very very afraid of the skill level of the folks not on the PP.

Also, remember that teams generally run two lines for PP.

But teams generaly dress 17 or 18 forwards, and you only need 6 forwards if you run two lines. So that means by doing simple math that 11 forwards don't play on the powerplay and he should be one of them.

You have a player who plays 441 games and have a total of 21 PP. You have a player who shouldn't be on the PP

That's what I'm saying. If he's on the PP, what does that say about the players below him on the depth chart ?

The guy sometime plays in front of the net and is fairly descent at screening the goaltender. I can remember a few games where he played a major part in scoring the goal...

don't teams dress about 12 or 13 forwards? besides, curby is a solid passer, so if he has the puck on the pp, that will automatically draw a defenseman to him. As long as he can move the puck around the ice, then he doesnt have to score.

If he is such a solid passer, why does the PP SUCK? I'm not saying it is totally his fault, but it would be a great start to bench him during the PP. There is plenty of blame to go around for that crappy PP.

Teams dress 23 players plus 2 goalie. 6 are defense. So that leaves 3 forwards. Correct?

Thats exactly it. No one else(maybe Pyatt), likes the front of the net. Drury's starting to though.
