    Mike Mularkey on WNSA....

The guy sounded well composed and squared away. After listening to his comments, he might be a better fit than we think. Some key things he said:

    1. He would hire McNally as the OL coach.
    2. When asked how to fix the offense..."simplify"!
    3. He "could work with Bledsoe". He said Drew has the talent and he implied that he's worked with worse.
    4. The interview went very well and they really ran out of time.
    5. He said the Bills are appealling because they are "very close".

Now take this for what it's worth. The guys sounds like a head coach during the interview. You know how sometimes you meet someone and they have something a little different, that X factor, Mularkey sounds like that type of guy.

As long as we don't act in desparation to get our head coach. I don't like the idea of getting Mularkey, myself.

I dont like the idea either Phil. Ive seen too many of the Steelers games this year and their offense was about as pathetic as ours. They had absolutely no identity, and just like our Bills not having TH in against the Titans for the last drive, there were many goal line situations where Bettis wasnt in. Granted Bettis is aging and I dont think too highly of Maddox, this wasnt a very well coached offense

Mularkey just basically ran a dumbed-down version of the offense that Gilbride ran while he was in Pittsburgh.

Please, let's not hire a guy based solely on the strength of an interview! Haven't we been down that road before?

Some people want Fassel, some don't

Some people want Haslett, some don't

Some people want Weis, some don't

Some people want Mularkey, some don't

Some people want Jauron, some don't

Nobody want Jerry Gray and I haven't read anything about Crennel.
