Why does GW poison the coach pool?

    Geesh-

For every coach prospect out there- everyone seems to harp about their negatives and compare them to Williams.

Weiss- Positives- Versatile, gets tons of production from average talent, Parcells/Bellichick pedigre
-"Weiss is an assistant- no HC experience- He's gonna suck-

-GW was an assistant - he sucked. I don't want another one"

Fassell- Positives- got to a SB, Made Kerry Collins look good, had winning seasons and lasted 7 seasons in a tough city to coach, NY

-Fassell sucks! Had a worse record in 2003 than Williams. Williams even BEAT him!"

It goes on and on. GW is gone. I'm of the mind that he was an abberation, and that his 2 weeks to prepare for the job interview really overshadowed better candidates who were off the plane on the way home from a super bowl.

Focus on the coach candidates ' positives. If everyone continues to compare these guys to Mr Manbooibs, you will all be dissapointed in the new hire.

        Bun Bun is right.....

GW didn't fail because he didn't have HC experience....that's an excuse. To think that other candidates without HC experience will fail is faulty logic. So why think that Weiss or Crennel or Lovie will fail for that reason.

GW didn't fail because he didn't have Offensive experience....so why think that Juron will fail for that reason?

Why continue to compare every candidate with GW?

He wrote checks with his mouth that his abilities couldn't cash.
Someone said "What's he gonna turn out like?" Ha!
And someone else said "Never mind!"

First year coaches have a hard time surrounding themselfs with a experienced staff, the coach can not do everything. Delegated power.....
