Former New York Jets defensive coordinator Ted Cottrell is considering an offer to take the same job with the Minnesota Vikings.
Vikings coach Mike Tice said Thursday he offered a two-year contract to Cottrell, who was fired last week after philosophical differences with Jets coach Herman Edwards.
Cottrell, who interviewed with Tice at the team's headquarters on Wednesday and Thursday, is scheduled to visit San Diego on Friday regarding the Chargers' defensive coordinator position. Cottrell also has received interest from the Pittsburgh Steelers....
