10 NBC news from Rochester reports that Donahoe said one more NEW candidate could get interviewed in the next few days.

They question is...who could it be? Nick Saban? Kirk Ferentz? Marv Levy? :feedback:

Awesome. It could also mean another interview from this weeks playoff contestants as well.

Who? Maybe the Chiefs OC Al Saunders if they lose. Could it be the OC from the Eagles if they lose? Or their DC? hmmm....

10 NBC Sports Director Rich Funke is the guy who said this.

Maybe it's the current defensive coordinator of the Titans. . .

I'll bet it's Haslett. Haslett was scheduled to meet with Saints owner Tom Benson today.

Didn't someone say Seifert was in town...Maybe it is him. I am not a fan of Seifert after he ran Carolina into the ground. Carolina obviously had a head coaching problem because they went 1-15 in Seifert's last year to 7-9 last year and 12-5 this year and playing in the divisional round against the Rams today...I also hope it's not Haslett who I know TD likes...

My money is on Haslett. Haslett apparently has a stipulation in his contract that allows him to part with the Saints if the Buffalo Bills offer him a vacant HC position. TD probabaly wants to bring him in for an interview, but some contractual issues may need ironing out first in order for the two parties to proceed. Haslett also coached in Steel Town for a while under TD's reign, but Haslett will probably make certain that he will not leave New Orleans unless it's 100% certain the Bills are going to offer him the job. Just my guess

I heard a few weeks ago that that out clause didn't actually exist. I wouldn't complain if it did exist though.

I also heard the escape clause is a myth. There was some speculation that the Benson, the Saints owner, might let him off anyway.

There is no such stipulation in his (haslett's) contract, he started that rumor himself. I heard that on the radio the other day, on wgr55.

Forget Marv...that would be the biggest mistake that this organization would ever make! Please people, leave history where it is... IN THE PAST!!! Plus, what are they going to do, get a special red, white, blue & gray wheelchair to wheel him out onto the field every week? The guy is almost 80...not 63 like Gibbs.

Stop bringing up his name...it's moronic!

:chuckle:

I have no plans of coming at this time, but it certainly sounds like a good idea. If Delta hadn't of lost my bags last year, I would have been there drinking with you guys. Instead, I was taking in a few brews at the Rochester airport. I'll see what my options are.

I heard Darryl Talley is looking to get into coaching, if we sign Marv maybe Telley would be the new LB's coach just a thought

I am sure it is moronic to have brought back that old washed up guy Dick Vermiel and Bill Parcells too, right????? I mean, they were in the past and they are old.

It's getting to the point where I don't like anyone out there.

Marv! Please let it be marv.....

Also I saw Kelly at the game last night for that KPP program. I think he would look real good on the sidelines as an OC! He certinly knows how to call plays.

Maybee I am stuck in the glory days, but it's the only hope that keeps me going. Having marv on this team would be a huge confidence booster for the boys. He turns players into big time leaders and does a great job of having many leaders co-exsist togahter on the field at the same time. He is just what this team needs. Plus he wants to run the no-huddle.

I would rather see Kelly as a Qb coach first, I think he could help Drew out alot

That won't happen. We'll see Reich or AVP as a QB coach long before that ever happens.

I think Kelly was a really intelligent player with grit, determination, and leadership ... but I don't think he'd make a great QB coach.

I just see him as the type that wouldn't understand how some people couldn't compete at his level day-in-day-out. He'd make a good OC where he's a bit more removed from everyone, but I think he'd be too unreasonable as a coach.

Frank Reich will never be an NFL coach. Would you believe he is a seminary director? No, really, he is. Honest! Here's a link to prove it:
