    Redskins don't interest Bills' Gray

By LEO ROTH, Democrat and Chronicle
Buffalo Bills defensive coordinator and head coaching candidate Jerry Gray has no interest in rejoining ex-Bills coach Gregg Williams in Washington as a position coach.

Williams, named the Redskins’ new defensive coordinator under Joe Gibbs, reportedly wants Gray to be his secondary coach. Williams also would like to lure Bills defensive line coach Tim Krumrie away.

However, all of Buffalo’s assistants are under contract and need permission from the team to interview elsewhere. Furthermore, the team’s new head coach will have first crack at retaining the top assistants.

I want Danny Smith to stay as well. He has steadily improved our special teams over the last three years. The coverage units are solid and we blocked punts this year. Return game could use help but I like Smith, he is a high energy guy.
