All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
Finally on Friday, after watching three candidates slip away and letting one candidate walk away, the Panthers settled on a new head coach as they signed New York Giants defensive coordinator John Fox to a 4-year, $4 million contract. The head-coaching job for Fox is the coach’s first at any level.
If I recall Fox wasn't even Carolina's first or second choice. First they wanted Spurrier but then backed out when they couldn't compete with Snyder. There second choice was Tony Dungy but Dungy decided to go to Indy. There third choice was Fox...

Like every National Football League team, the Carolina Panthers began their search for a new head coach this offseason with a list of sterling candidates in mind. However, also like every other NFL team, their quest to hire one of those sterling candidates on their list did not go according to plan.
After firing George Seifert following a 1-15 season, the Panthers immediately set their sites on former University of Florida Coach Steve Spurrier. However, Spurrier spurned the Panthers and signed on to become Coach of the Washington Redskins. Next on their list was former New York Jets Coach Bill Parcells. However, Parcells passed on returning to coaching as he turned down both the Panthers and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to stay in retirement.
The next candidate the Panthers looked at was former Minnesota Vikings Coach Dennis Green. However, Green decided to host a cable television fishing show, which took him out of the running. Next up for the Panthers was former Buccaneers Coach Tony Dungy. However, by the time he became available, Carolina already looked to have another candidate in mind, so they let Dungy sign onto become head coach of the Indianapolis Colts.
Finally on Friday, after watching three candidates slip away and letting one candidate walk away, the Panthers settled on a new head coach as they signed New York Giants defensive coordinator John Fox to a 4-year, $4 million contract. The head-coaching job for Fox is the coach’s first at any level.
