the Houston Texans...

Look what happened to Dallas when they went in with the "oh they're just an expansion team" mentality...

They are playing solid D and if their offense is able to move the ball on your defense, you may find yourselves in a fight.

Your thoughts???

Non-Bills fan lovers, you are absolutely right. We could NOT get along on BILLSFANZONE without these outstanding contributions from non-Bills fans. I can't imagine what we we do without them.:stick:

The Bills have made some mistakes, but come every week ready to play. I have no doubts we will be ready in Houston.

NO WAY do we lose this game

THe D is under a lot of heat. The O has been pressured to score early. If we beat the Raiders then I think the Bills would overlook the texans. The D was embarrased. I don't think the texans will score much.

This is the infamous donut game (the weak link between games between 2 good teams). And the hated fins are only a week away. And Houston has had a bye week to prepare.

If their defense was a little better I would be worried. But I am a little nervous.

I fully agree that there's no way we lose this game. But the fact that it is seriously being discussed raises some serious issues...

Some people obviously missed the point of Phins post. :shakeno: If they Bills go into this game thinking they're just going to roll over the Texans, they're bound to lose. I agree with Phins. A lot of teams have been upset, IMO because they thought a game was an "easy" win. Look at Denver last week. They figured they were just going to roll over the 0-3 Ravens and they were pummeled! The Bills need to go into each game prepared for a battle.

I am NOT saying you will lose this game. What I am saying is that just because they are an expansion team, don't think you'll walk all over them.

I expect you to pick up the W. It just may not be as easy as you think.

I don't think that any team can be looked over in this day and age of parity in the NFL. That said Bills 75 Houston 2!

Phins and J7 are right....don't underestimate them. We made that mistake back in the late 80s with the Bucs....who were awful at the time.

I think that the Bills will look more like a well rounded team this week, but the score will be lower then past weeks. I see Henry putting up better #s (90-100yds ground) because the Bills finally got the message last week about controlling the clock and the pace of the game. The defense will have a good game as well. They should increase their sack total by 3.

Buffalo: 27 - Houston: 17

Side note: Bledsoe please look out for Jamie Sharper. He is the Ray Lewis of Houston!

Yo Phins fans. We could beat Dallas with our entire offensive having broken legs. Drew bledsoe blind, and Eric Moulds decapitated.

Phins054

Somehow I doubt that....

And why is that one guy hunching the other guys leg?!? What up with that???

Don't mind Creemore. He's just on a kick to have the Zone become a Bills fan only forum.

I have a feeling this year's edition of the Bills will figure out a way to make us all biter our nails even against the Texans. We should win handily, but. . .

If we had Jim Miller at Quarterback I think we would lose however.

Actually, us fans can underestimate the Texans to our hearts delight. The team however had better treat it like a game that could make or break its season, because a loss could break it.

Buffalo News (http://www.buffalonews.com/editorial/20021013/1010710.asp)
Conventional wisdom suggests the Buffalo Bills will bounce back with a victory today when they visit Reliant Stadium to face the expansion Houston Texans.
The Bills won't be a more prohibitive favorite than they are today, but they aren't buying the "Texans will be pushovers" line.

"Dallas thought the same thing and got their heads handed to them," said Bills fullback Larry Centers, referring to the Texans' 19-10 upset over the in-state rival Cowboys in the season opener.

"Probably the worst thing that we can do as a team is to underestimate the opponent this week," Centers said......

We should do well against the Texans...but a loss is possible and would indicate to me that the leadership from the coaches and some veteran players would be lacking.

I think we started our game with them out with the "Oh they're just an expansion team" mentality, then we started to take them seriously - thank god.
