i thought i would point this out since guard and center are 2 of our biggest needs.

ben wilkerson, the center from LSU has just declared he will pass on his senior year. TSN has him ahead of Grove, which i find hard to believe.. but this is good for us.. maybe it pushes Grove down some, as he possibly could have gone from late first to mid second.. maybe this makes him a late 2nd to early third..

i have watched wilkerson several times this year. he is a heck of a player too. he and peterman were a nasty combo that helped LSU get the national championship. either center would be a great pick.

if anyone cares to give me more info on wilkerson, feel free.

also. i saw that another junior guard has declared. thought maybe some of you have heard of him... justin smiley from Alabama. he is ranked as high as second behind carey at the guard spot now.

I'll take wilkerson in round two or lechey the c-g from kansas state in round 3 . Usually centers are drafted in round 1 so chances are that when round 3 rolls around we can get a good one ....

Wilkerson sure does carry that 300 pounds real well...he must be extremely atheletic.

They talked about him, I think during the Sugar Bowl, as a top center prospect. As one might expect, coming from Nick Saban's LSU squad, he is supposed to be very talented and very well coached. LSU runs about the closest thing you can find in college to a pro style offence. All that's very good.
