The final team meeting of the 2003 season was short and sweet. No, make that bittersweet.
Mike Martz told his players that they had a great year, even with Saturday's excruciating playoff loss to Carolina. He told the players to stay in shape until the offseason conditioning program begins in 2 1/2 months.
He said he'd like to bring everybody back, but realized that wouldn't be possible. As for his strategy at the end of regulation. ...
"He just said it was a tough decision he had to make, and he had to live with it," cornerback Jerametrius Butler said. "That's part of being a coach."
