All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
The Bills defense is younger and more inexperienced. Take a look at the Jets defense, the experience and talent on that defense should be producing rather then flopping. Remember at the start of this season, no one was predicting the Bills to make a playoff appearance, yet many were perdicting the Jets to find a birth.
Ted walked into a poor situation in NJ, as he was given a D which last year was already gutted by FA, which was used to playing a 3-4, and asked to turn them into an effective 4-3 without a 2nd NFL quality DT (sound familiar). This year he lost most of the secondary to the expansion draft... lost his best LBer (who was replaced by a very and oft injured S.Cowert), and is still expected to improve the D in a system he never coached before. Oh yah... one more thing... the big NFL quality DT they signed, Larry Webster, has been lazy and ineffective all year (big surprise since that has been he story of his career).
My wife told me that if I had a dollar for every girl who found me unattractive, girls would find me VERY attractive.
Something tells me that Herm Edwards will be canned this year if the Jets keep up this pay and have worse than a 6-10 record. IF he does, then Ted Cottrell could be in line for the HC job there. I heard that the players really love him there.
I seriously doubt Herm would be canned after this year, regardless of anything. In his first year, he brought a very unlikely team to the playoffs. A second year slump after a season like that is not uncommon (example - Haslett w/the Saints). I would think that he would be given a chance to turn it around next year, with a more experienced Pennington the undisputed starter. If next year fails, then he's gone.
