Officiating raises few flags this time

By KEN SUGIURA, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
The NFL is exulting over the high quality of its playoff games, particularly last weekend's divisional playoffs. All four games were decided by seven or fewer points, and two went to overtime, the first time either happened in one playoff weekend.

The league is further rejoicing that no one is talking about the officiating. It was a hot topic of conversation last year. Then, commissioner Paul Tagliabue said that a botched call in the New York Giants-San Francisco 49ers wild-card game was "totally unacceptable," and there were other moments that had the public up in arms over the quality of officiating.

I'm sure they can still find a way to mess up. After all, the team that has received the most help from the officials, plays tomorrow (Pats).

The Pats were handed the game by the officials on that crap holding penalty.

I kept saying that same thing all week, to a Pats fan at work. He said it was legit. Come on! It was questionable at best!

The call was legit he grabbed the jersey and pulled granted the player pulled an acting job but you cant fault him for that. If it happened to a Bill and it wasnt called wed be calling for some heads. Some of you need to stop be so naive when it comes to other teams.
