Why did LeBeau choose Pitt?

It was my understanding that LeBeau could have had the Bills DC job if he so chose but he went to the Steelers instead.

Has he said anything about why he made this decision?

Dick leBeau worked there earlier in his career- so he's familiar with the city, ownership, Cower.


It's most likely a quality of life issue- He may still have family/ residence in Pittsburgh.

his family i think still lives there and i guess he went to a pitt basketball game and the people were nice and made him feel like it was home or something like that

I read somewhere that they may have had some issues when he left for Cinci. probably some steeler sites.

Well, we'll probably never know....Dick Lebeau doesn't seem to be one of those types of guys that will run off at the mouth. He seems to just move on. I don't recall him making any comments about the Bengal's organization at all. So, I don't expect him to give anyone any clue as to why he made the choice that he did.
