All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
You will notice discrepancies between my rankings and those of the so-called “experts.” I’m a strong proponent of using strength of schedule and overall team balance to help in the ranking of the teams. You will notice that I have ranked the Broncos second and the Fins third when last week I had the Fins ahead of the Broncos. It comes down to the fact that the Broncos have played a tougher overall schedule than the Fins. Using my rankings from this week, the average ranking of the Broncos opponents is 15.2, while it’s 18 for the Fins. Of course, since the Fish visit Denver this week, one team will undoubtedly be a solid #2 or even sneak into the top spot if the Raiders should falter in St. Louis.
Well, if you take out the longest runs of all teams, the standings change drastically.
