The big second-guess in the Buffalo Bills' hiring of Mike Mularkey is: Should Tom Donahoe have waited for New England Patriots offensive coordinator Charlie Weis?
The Bills' president and general manager says he hired the best man for the job, and it's certain he believes it. The hiring was too important for him to do otherwise.
After the divisional playoff round, there were indications from within One Bills Drive that the Bills were considering waiting to see if the Pats lost in the AFC title game - thereby making Weis available - before deciding on the head coach. But then Donahoe pulled the trigger....
