NFL | New Officials - posted at KFFL (http://nfl.kffl.com)
15:09 PT: The AP reports the NFL will have 16 new officials for the 2002 season. They will replace the 15 officials that retired, along with head linesman Sanford Rivers, who was fired for unspecified reasons.

They will probably suck, but then again could they get any worse? I sure hope not. I think this is a good thing. Get some new, younger refs, that don't have to wear 3 inch thick glasses.

LOL

Like you said, it can't possibly get any worse!

The next time that that same ref who called that Henry Jones PI on Coates coaches here, they ought to have "glasses day!" LOL

Maybe he was one of the ones to retire. We can only hope.

Anyone know of a site that has the worst calls in the NFL?

Just so long as two of the refs that were replaced were Phil 'Heads...No Tails' Luckett and Walt 'Wall-Eye Vision' Coleman, I'll be a happy Shadow.

The refs have sucked in the past and probably will this year.

I think the game has gotten to fast and the refs have gotten older and slower. I think they need some technological help. But that opens up a ton of other issues.

Maybe just pay them much more but then hold them more accountable. The NFL MUST! realize that poor officiating takes away from the game. It’s an investment.
