When the season finished here in Edmonton, he said he had at least a dozen teams to work out with in December and January.

Buffalo was not one of the teams on his list.

Miami workout (http://www.sacbee.com/content/sports/story/8169539p-9101049c.html)

From the Denver Post (http://www.denverpost.com/Stories/0,1413,36~86~1911763,00.html) The Broncos are one of the many teams bidding for Edmonton Eskimos quarterback Ricky Ray, considered the CFL's top young passer. Ray, 24, led Edmonton to the Grey Cup title in November, completing 22-of-34 passes for 301 yards, two touchdown passes and no interceptions against Montreal. He also ran for a score. It's not like Denver's interest is new or sudden. Ray worked out for 11 teams at the Broncos training complex on Dec. 14, and he will be in Miami this week to audition for the Dolphins.

It's too bad too, be cause he's a great QB, worth taking a look at.

But he's fast, he'd be a cheaper version of Michael Vick.

If he was to play for buffalo I think I would want him to add atleast 15 pounds.

Well in three down ball here in Canada he threw for 4600+ yards and ran for 352. He also had 13 ints vs 35 tds

i'd give him a shot but he did do it on a field that is considerably wider and therefore built for spreading receivers and making bigger gaps. he's have to prove to me he could play on our field with nfl level defenses - not a canadian bacon d.

Buffalo has been mentioned in the past as a team that had interest. Presumably TD has his feelers out there and the lines are open with Ricky Ray's agent. Supposedly Ricky Ray's strengths are his ability to read defences and the fact that he is unflappable. He moves well in the pocket but is no Michael Vick. I think the closest comparison in the NFL right now might be Tom Brady. Hmmm.

He's CFL great. That translates into NFL career backup.

One of the local radio hosts (Hank Goldberg) said that the Fins spoke with ray's coach (or organization) because they have plucked two other players from that team (Darius Romero and I forgot the other) so they have respect for the organization's assement of the player. The team rep told the Dolphins that ray is still probably a least a year away from beinmg a productive NFL player. However, they brought him in for a workout. There's been no word on what they thought after the workout ended.
