I thought it was a major choke job when Casey kicked that kickoff out of bounds. What a major mistake!!!

No...

there is nothing to say that if he hadnt kicked it out of bounds, they wouldnt have returned the kickoff for a TD anyway.

You never know, but maybe kicking it out of bounds was a safe thing to do... not that he meant to do it, but it could have been worse.

we really won't know until we find out if it was a blown kick or a coach's decision to angle kick it...unless he slipped and was falling during the kick it is pretty hard for an NFL caliber kicker to miss the entire field.

Absolutely not! Other than that blunder Kasay had an outstanding year for Carolina, and kicked one of the longest fg's in last night's thriller. Yes, it was a big mistake, but even if that kick would've gone for a touchback, i do believe the pats would've still found a way to win the game.

you live and die by the sword... comes with territory of kicker. your loved one minute , hated the next... KASAY COST HIS BOYS THE GAME AND WILL GO DOWN AS A SUPERBOWL GOAT. i felt bad for him, for what had to be said to his boys after how well they played

I thought it was interesting that Vinetieri missed "Wide Right" earlier in the game. Just an observation.

I agree. Kasey blew it.

I disagree, the Carolina defense blew it.

A team blowing, is that allowed to be said like that?

The Panthers allowed what, 30 yards? A long kick that was stopped at the 20 or 30, who knows how it would have turned out.

My friend ( who is a giants fan, but bills are 2nd ), asked me last night who was worse kasay or norwood, and i laughed at him, then told him to slap himself for even suggesting such a stupid question. Norwood over any kicker, or any player in any game, beats anyone hands down.

The real question is who is worse, Norwood or Buckner????

now thats tough...

If you blame norwood, we can blame the bills defense in SB XXV for not stoping the Giants on key third downs, So you can blame Carolina's Defense for not stoping the Patriots with a minute and eight seconds left. Kasay made the mistake of kicking the ball out of bounds, but compared to a 47 yrd field goal when your team is down by one point isn't a mistake. Give Norwood a break! I want to see someone who doesn't kick professionally make that kick!

Sorry kids but you can't compare Scott Norwood to Bill Buckner. As stated, Norwood missed a 47 yard field goal. Bill Buckner missed a ball that was basically a given. I know one broke most of our hearts more than the other but c'mon.
