then how come while playing Madden 2003, the field shows more wear and tear as the game progresses?

I want a refund.

It looks like it would be pretty loud in the end zones!

Nice building BTW!

It dwarfs the astrodome and holds a hair less than 70,000 fans. The field is put together with *trays* of grass that have global positioning devices embedded in the perimeter of the trays for easy replacement. It is probably the loudest stadium in the league. The sound has NOWHERE to go. The Cowboy game blew me away. The field is extremely close to the stands. The stands go practicly straight up.............

No offense but..........why would any team that far south need a roof? It doesn't even snow.

It looks like a nice stadium though.

Do they close the roof when it rains?

I like rain and mud, it is one of the great aspects of this game called football we've come to love.

Or do they have the roof for the day it snows again in Texas? :D

The roof is for the Houston Rodeo. Bob McNair (Owner) wanted an open roof venue. The Rodeo makes millions for Houston. They basicly share the Stadium. Concerts and whatever are brutal in Houstons Humidity in the Summer.

The roof will only be closed during thunderstorms, and high wind (we are in the good ol' hurricane zone).

The roof will be open Sunday. Now, the officials have the SAY to close it. It is not up to the Texans. It is the NFL's mandated rule.

But, I'm sure you've enjoyed the hurricanes.
I know what that's like.

I ask myself that same question everytime I step into the Georgia Dome.:D

Now if we could only get a marching band at halftime -- that's what pro football teams need, marching bands . . . . . . I'm dead serious. All the high school and college band alumni in the hometown could audition. It would be huge, really huge . . . . So much better than that piped in digital crapola. . . . . .

 Your right Rebecky, but don't they always take up too many good seats?

Rebecky

We'd build them a special section!

Seriously, when you're at a college game and you hear that marching band fire up the fight song, just gives you goose bumps, doesn't it? And then everyone stands and sings at the top of their lungs! "Fight, fight and march down the field. . . ."

So much more "football" than piping in the Village People singing "YMCA". Sheesh. Can you see Rockne or Lombardi doing that stupid little "YMCA" fan dance? Give me a break.
