No way I see Law being let go just to reunite with Milloy. Bellick ain't that stupid. They need him to make their D work. Milloy was expendable to them. Law is not.
But what the hell do I know.

As someone else here a while ago noticed, great tackler yes, but lousy in coverage. I'm not singling out him though. I think the whole defensive mindset was one of bend-don't break, rather than one that was an attacking D.
How many times did we see the DBs lay off WRs 5-6-7 yards on critical third down plays. That was frustrating. We'd hold teams to 1 or 2 yard gains on first and second downs, then like clockwork, give up big plays on 3rd, allowing huge yards after catch.
I'd like to see us get a Julias Peppers-type speed DE/pass rushing specialist to pressure QBs. Couple that with our corners playing up and tight, almost mauling them like NE. Then, I think other teams stop sustaining drives at the rate they have been against us."Your job is to protect your quarterback – me."

I think Winfield's our best cover guy. His problem is his hands. They're terrible. He dropped quite a few last season. Clements is much more likely to come up with the big play (size, hands) but he'll also give up a big play because he takes chances. Hopefully Winfield's asking price won't be too ridiculous. There are a ton of guys coming available. I don't want Woodson. I think he's overrated and I think Champ's gonna get way too much $$$ although he is awesome. My personal favorite would be McAlister in Baltimore. There's always Ty Law (best in the league), Troy Vincent or Shawn Springs too. We'll see.

His run support has become excellent too. that was his biggest weakness and now he comes up and sticks. He's tall too so that helps in coverage.

We need a stud DE to create pressure on the QB. Imagine how good AW/NC would be if they didnt have to hold their coverage for 10 seconds.
Pressure on the QB is what causes turnovers.
