Similar to the "46" Defense where the Bear's safety (#46, can't remember his name) was the main reason for the success.
The K-Gun was named for Keith McKeller. Even though he only had a couple real good years, and Metzelars eventually became the main TE, the name stuck.

I think McKeller was considered a key to making the offence work because he had some speed to stretch defences, a little like Tony Gonzalez or Kellen Winslow Jr. Kellen would be a great acquisition for a team wanting to resurrect the k-gun. His first name even starts with the right letter. LOLI've made up my mind. Don't confuse me with the facts.
I'm the most reasonable poster here. If you don't agree, I'll be forced to have a hissy fit.
