Similar to the "46" Defense where the Bear's safety (#46, can't remember his name) was the main reason for the success.

The K-Gun was named for Keith McKeller. Even though he only had a couple real good years, and Metzelars eventually became the main TE, the name stuck.

I won. A guy came in to the break room and saw my avaitor. He made a comment about it. so I asked him if he new who the "K-gun" offense was named after. He said Jim Kelly and I said Mckeller and he didn't believe me.

                      Thanks everyone!

Just if anyone wants to know, Keith McKellar sells cars in Winston Salem, NC now. I know this b/c i saw him at Flow Honda, and i recognized him immediately. Just thought i might pass that on.

I think McKeller was considered a key to making the offence work because he had some speed to stretch defences, a little like Tony Gonzalez or Kellen Winslow Jr. Kellen would be a great acquisition for a team wanting to resurrect the k-gun. His first name even starts with the right letter. LOL
I've made up my mind. Don't confuse me with the facts.

I'm the most reasonable poster here. If you don't agree, I'll be forced to have a hissy fit.
