Well guys, how would that sound having Darrell Jackson on the other side of Eric Moulds next year. This guy is just getting into his prime and I can see him bringing alot to Buffalo. He will probably be asking around $2.5 millon a year being in his 4th year I think the Bills could get him in a long term deal. Last year he had 9 TDS and over 1100 yards. I don't know about you,, but I would get my hands on this guy now.

That way the Bills can get SMITH or Udeze with the 13th pick and either one of the guys will step up and start opening day at DE.

GO BILLS!!!!

I like Jackson. One problem is he drops tons of easy catches.

Do we have enough room to sigh Jackson and either keep Winfield or sign a veteran replacement?

EB, CLUMP?

That's the only WR I would be looking at this year for Free Agency the rest won't make an immediate impact or have issues (TO). If we can't get Jackson I would just address other issues in free agency and draft a WR.

That is why it is essential that we get Rivers. We can sign DJax and then bring in Rivers. We have the future right there. Moulds is what, 31. Bledsoe, 33. They only have a few years left at top notch quality. They we don't lose much on the transition. Just my 2 cents. DJax is a stud and was clearly the #1 in Seattle this past year. He would come as expensive as say Northcutt or TO.

Bills can do anything they feel they need to do. The cap will not be the problem

Jackson's my choice as well. It will certainly open up things for the draft.

.....and he's fast. It'll be just like getting Peerless Price back! Price dropped a ton of easy balls but he could stretch the field. I don't want to go back to that style of offense but I want the threat to be there so we can play action a little and have a few surprises in our playbook.

last year was the first time in his 4 years that djax ever struggled with the dropsies.. it is not a consistent thing with him... not like TO.. he has always dropped alot of catches.

Jackson would get a lot more than $2.5M per year.

The franchise tag level for a WR is $7.229M. That is the average of the top 5 players at WR.

The transition tag level for a WR is $6.42M. That is the average of the top 10 players at WR.

The average NFL starting WR makes $2.267M in salary. Jackson finished 25th in the NFL in receptions, 10th in the NFL in receiving yards, 6th in the NFL in yards per catch and 10th in the NFL in receiving TDs. That places him well above the average starter, and he is only 25 and a steady producer throughout his career.

My guess is he gets about $5M average per season and a $5M SB. I wouldn't be surprised if he gets more than that. He is a good, young player in FA, so he will get paid.

So, we can give him the contract that sorry ass Peerless wanted. He is 5 times the WR that Price is. We have some cap room this year, lets damn use it...

Peerless actually got a little more than that. He got 7 Yrs/$36.5M with a $10M SB.

Goes to show you value. I imagine Jackson will hold up the Price deal as representative of his value. That said, I can't imagine he will get that much money.

-Marcus Robinson. He's tall, fast and good hands. injury prone though...
-Steve Smith- I'm sure Carolina will find a way to keep him.
But i AGREE, i like DJ..

I wouldn't say that at all. Price reminds me alot of Jackson.

I agree, only Jackson is better. Hands down.

nah, Peerless has the edge. Hasselbeck is damn good QB.

Peerless has been catching passes from scrubs - R. Johnson, Bledsoe, Doug Johnson, Flutie.

I don't think so, Moulds didn't have any troubles, so why did Pee-Pee? That is no excuse.

That is like saying Jerry Rice is the best ever cause he had Montana and Young throwing to him....What about Largent and Art Monk?

djax is DEFINATELY better than price.

price has had one season over 1000 yards.

djax has been the number one in seattle for the past three years..

price failed miserably at being a number one this year.. and has never shown he can do it.

Looks like 2 out of three to me. Also, it is pretty hard to give much props for 2001. Robinson had not developed yet and the rest of the receivers were scrubs.

Koren Robinson is better and so is Peerless Price. That being said, I would love to see Jackson in a Bills uniform for the right price.

Jackson't actually supposed to be the #2 WR in Seattle. Robinson's #1 but DJax puts up more yardage.

This would be a good move! After we lost our offensive weapons last year, I hope Donahoe realizes we need some of them back for this season and not to hurt our Defense in the process (Either re-sign Winfield or bring in someone else).

funny how you failed to mention the most important thing in that 2002 season.. jackson missed 3 games due to injury, and played while hurt for several more..

so i will state it again.. jackson is the number one receiver for seattle, and has been for the last three years.

what does it matter comparing Price to Jackson, Price is gone even though I wish he was still here, and I doubt we'll sign Jackson even.:violin:

it matters because the question was asked?
