I found a link that says one of the CFL's WR has worked out for the Bills and expects to hear something this week.

"The Esks stand to lose six players of their own to free agency: receiver Jason Tucker, defensive tackle Steve Charbonneau, cornerback Darrel Crutchfield, safety Quincy Coleman, linebacker Glen Young and defensive tackle Randy Chevrier.

Tucker is one of the most coveted free agents on the market. He has worked out with the Buffalo Bills and expects to hear later this week whether they'll make an offer. His first choice in the CFL is Edmonton, but he's open to other offers."

The reference is almost at the bottom of the article.

What I've found so far is that he caught 41 passes for 744 yards and 9 TD. He went to TCU. Anybody know anything else about this guy?

Found this 6th round draft pick by Bengals the same year Spikes was drafted.

Sixth Round - Jason Tucker, WR, TCU
The Bengals take a chance here, but Tucker could be a sleeper. He sat out 1997 after being suspended for being part of a check fraud ring. But during his time off he continued to practice football on his own. He ran a 4.48 40 at the combine and impressed scouts with his ability to get free in bump and run coverage. He'll compete for a backup job, but may need to continue to develop. Has good size (6-foot-1, 182 pounds) to go along with his speed, and will probably make the team if he can return kicks. Has character flaws and sat out a year, but the Bengals will give him a chance to get back on track, its up to him now.

More on Tucker.

The Green Bay Packers have signed wide receiver Jason Tucker, a rookie free agent, to the team's practice squad, Executive Vice President/General Manager Ron Wolf announced today.

Tucker, 6-2 and 182 pounds, was a sixth-round selection out of Texas Christian University by the Cincinnati Bengals in the 1998 National Football League draft. He appeared in the Bengals' preseason opener against the New York Giants and had one pass reception for 6 yards. Subsequently sidelined by a hamstring injury, he was placed on waivers August 19 following an injury settlement and had been out of football since.

Earlier, in three varsity seasons at TCU, Tucker caught 78 passes for 1,197 yards, a 15.3-yard average, and 5 touchdowns.

The 22-year-old Waco, Texas, native, assigned jersey number 19, joins quarterback Matt Hasselbeck, linebacker Jim Nelson and wide receiver Brian Manning on the practice squad.

Funny thing. Tucker was taken before Bobby Shaw in the sixth round. And Trey Teague & Izell Reese.

The Edmonton Eskimos signed former Dallas Cowboys kick returner and wide receiver Jason Tucker on Tuesday. Tucker, 25, didn't play football in 2002 after having a pair of solid years with the Cowboys.

He was second in the NFL with a 27.9 yard per return average in 1999 - fifth-best in Cowboys history. He was named the NFC's special teams player of the month in December 1999.

Tucker caught 13 passes for 126 yards in 2000. He was released before the 2001 season when the Cowboys decided they weren't satisfied with his development.

In 31 career NFL games, Tucker had 36 receptions for 565 yards and two touchdowns.

Jason Tucker - Wide receiver

Now the the Edmonton Eskimos signed the smart receiver.

Way back up in NYC on a Monday night against the Giants Jason Tucker converted a Troy Aikman pass brilliantly into 25 yards. With 1112 yards and 2 TDs Jason Tucker had been a valuable player in 1999.

The third longest pass play in Cowboys history and the longest connection within Troy Aikman's career will remain a reminder of Jason Tucker inside the Book of Records.

From the view up here (in Edmonton) Tucker is the only name on the list even worth a look. He had a great year last season. Of course he had Ricky Ray throwing the ball to him.

I live in Edmonton and attended every Eskimos home game and had the opportunity to see alot of Tucker. Tucker's numbers actually suffered this year due to the existing receivers that we have here in Edmonton. The main receiver we have is Ed Hervey who is one of the fastest receivers in the CFL has all the tools, size, speed and hand was the number one choice of a QB like Ricky Ray. One the other side playing the slot we have Terry Vaughn who is an Allstar every year and one of the best receivers in CFL history is a ball magnet. He catches everything that is thrown his way. The third receiver was Tucker who was in a numbers game. But in the Grey Cup (the CFL championship game) Hervey pulled up lame in the 1st quarter leaving Tucker as the number one guy and ultimately he dominated. He one the MVP of the game a caught some awesome long bomb while at the same time had great separation from the CB.
Comparing Tucker to Antonio Brown who is also a CFL alumni, Tucker is a much better runner, has better size, knows how to run routes and more importantly read his blockers effectively. I do not believe that Tucker would be a starting receiver on the Bills, but he would be a much better return man then Brown and would be much more effective in a 4 or 5 man receiver package. Hope this helps!!!!
CFL....the new minor league system for the NFL?????????
