Mularkey could be good for Bledsoe

    Matt Pitzer, USA Today
Mike Mularkey has already made a name for himself by resurrecting the career of a quarterback drafted in the first round and thought to be washed up. Now he has to do it again.
Mularkey, the new Buffalo Bills coach, ought to have an easier time re-igniting Drew Bledsoe's career than he did in helping Tommy Maddox in Pittsburgh. Bledsoe has taken a team to the Super Bowl. Wide receiver Eric Moulds and running back Travis Henry are as good as what Mularkey had to work with in Pittsburgh (Hines Ward, Jerome Bettis).

If he can do something Bill Belichek couldn't do, then Mularkey should get a key to the city.

well, considering Belichek is a defensive guy and Mularkey coached on the offensive side of the ball...I'm confused as to where you're going with that statement.

If Bledsoe is at all salvagable, this staff should be able to do it. Not only did MM (and Clements) turn Kordell and Maddox around in Pittsburgh, but Clements made Grbac better in KC, and Wyche helped with Montana's development in SF.
Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?

Let's not forget that Esiason had his best years with Wyche, as well.
Someone said "What's he gonna turn out like?" Ha!
And someone else said "Never mind!"
