The Bills' brass has been at the Indianapolis meat market this week, assessing pass rushers, speed receivers, tight ends and guards.
They ought to take a long, hard look at quarterbacks also. Not Eli Manning of Mississippi, Ben Roethlisberger of Miami of Ohio or Philip Rivers of North Carolina State, but someone whose day is down the road after a lot of polishing.
Right now the Bills have greater needs: a rainmaker at defensive end who would make Aaron Schobel more effective on the other side; a tight end who can get open in the middle of the field and rescue Drew Bledsoe when he's under fire; a speed receiver to force more intense coverage, liberating Eric Moulds on the other side of the field; and a guard who can start right away assuming Ruben Brown may have played his last game for Buffalo....
