Where's the BUF pick, even if GB traded up with us?

The BUF picks are done by group consensus. It's still pending, but the general consensus seem to be to draft Philip Rivers, who is still on the board, amazingly, this late.

Why would Oakland trade the world to move up one freaking spot? Why would Cleveland take a QB? Why would Green Bay even take Gamble?
What a bunch of maroons. :ugly:

Hold your panties, there mister!
I visit TSW and that isn't the consensus among the wallers.
This is the product of one person's wishful thinking.
I haven't seen that thread over there at all.

Well, that person certainly isn't very bright.
Maybe those pansies who come over here and cry about those TSW guys are right.

Have you looked in the Mock Draft forum? That's where the mock draft is being held. I agree that a lot of these moves probably won't happen when the draft is held in April. This is just for kicks; nobody is getting paid to do this.

No offense Rich- but what is the logic in giving up so much to move up one spot in the draft? Especially when there are two top notch guys available at that position?

It's not a move I would make (I'm picking for the Giants, Redskins, Texans, Steelers, Broncos, and Titans in this draft) but I don't see where it's a horrible deal. Sure it's one spot, but it is the top overall pick. What is the usual compensation for swapping picks that high in the draft?

If there was only 1 QB, then I'd say sure - go for it.
But Oakland is one of those teams that needs every pick- they are cap strapped and need to replace expensive veterans with cheaper alternatives (rookies)
If anything, they are a candidate to trade out of that spot. I know Al Davis loves his WR's- but this draft is so deep, he can get a quality one or two by dropping down- and not spending a ton. With those high picks, his rookie cap will be a lot bigger than other teams- and that means he has to clear even more cap space than usual.
Plus, I beleive QB isn't the top priority. Gannon is coming back, Tuiassisopo is not bad- and failing that- Garcia might fit them well if he shakes loose. If they are hurting at QB, I see them going for one in Rd 2 or 3.

Again, it wasn't my deal. I think you're right about the Raiders needing to keep their picks, maybe even add more picks by trading down. In this mock, EVERYONE is looking to trade down (in large part, I'm sure, because we all have been talking about the Bills trading down as a very viable option), so they decided to go another route.

The point being, if Vick AND let's say, a Leftwich were both there, and at least one was a guarantee to be there for them- would you hand over a kings ransome?

I don't want a trade down for Rivers in the 1st rd. I'd be pissed if they passed on Snee for Jones in the 2nd. A little high for Petterman in the 3rd I'd rather have Olshansky.
