ESPN is reporting that the BILLS are VERY interested in Bruener

I only caught the end of this I was flipping back and forth between ESPN, :100: Who Wants to Be a Super Millionaire :100: and the Sabres. ESPN did a short segment they broke down all the FA's that were released and ESPN is saying that the BILLS are VERY interested in Bruener who was released by the Steelers today. It makes a lot of sense Why does it make sense you ask well here's why? Malarky knows him, Donahoe DRAFTED him and he can catch footballs out of the backfield to help Bledsoe and he's very simular to an old BB TE that we had when Jay Reimersma was here now with the Steelers something that we've been saying that we need then the BILLS can look at getting another position in the draft they also have

Mark Campbell
Dave Moore
Ryan Neufield
on the roster at TE Ryan Neufield would probably be the odd man out if we picked up Bruener. BILLS can't talk to anyone until FA starts We know!!!!!

I could live with a TE tandem of Campbell-Bruener-Neufeld. I kinda wanted Bruener when he came out in the draft myself....the style of player he was kinda reminded me of Metzelaars.

An Ex-Steeler? Why wouldn't the Bills be interested?

You'd cut Campbell rather than Moore?
Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?

Oh great, now we will have to hear from all the knuckleheads that say we are picking up all ex-Steelers.

Moore would be the odd-man-out. His pricetag, age, and injury problems are what will make him expendable. As for Bruener, if he comes cheap, it would be worth it. However the Bills still need to draft a TE, earlier than later.

Bruener can't catch to save his life. This move would show me that the Bills are leaning towards a power running offense.

Am I alone in thinking that Campbell did pretty well last year? I think he's a solid TE with a lot of upside.
