Here is the WR we should sign...

I know everyone wants to draft one of the Williams, and this may be a good plan to go with, but if we decide to sign a FA WR, as opposed to drafting one, the guy we should sign is Justin McCareins. McCareings has 4.45 speed, and plus he is coming off a career year in which he had 47catches, for 813yds, and 7tds. I believe this guy may not be as much $$ $ on the open market, and he could definelty fill our void for a speedy wr.

He had a pretty solid season last year. Hopefully it is not a fluke season.

I think McCariens did not only have a fluke season, but i think you are only going to see better from this guy. Darrell Jackson, Terrel Owens will get all the hype, and all th $$$, but this is the guy we should go after.

I do like the idea of going with a guy who is already used to the speed of the NFL.

McCareins is a restricted FA and was given a 1st round tender by Tennessee. Any teams signing him will have to surrender a first round pick, and Tennessee retains the right to match any offer.

Well, if they tendered McCareins, they can't tender Drew Bennet, another up and coming reciever. Can we get him?

According to that same article, Bennett has agreed to a 3-Yr contract extension that will keep him out of free agency.

he isn't worth a 1st and he'll never be a number 1 WR in the NFL on any team that has brains in their office, a number 2 yes I want another guy that could be a #1 on any team say a TO we could offer our #2 see where that takes us or maybe a Roy W, or Mike W. in the draft and with taking those 2 in the draft, and lets face it Moulds isn't getting any younger.

We need a speed reciever. 4.45 is not speed. No way.

If you watch the guy play, you would see he plays fast. He gets deep, which is evidenced by his good YPC.

At any rate, even with the tender Tennessee only gets to keep him one season. He will be free next year.

are you kidding me? 4.45 is PLENTY fast to be a big play reciever. he may be no daunte hall but how productive is he as a reciever? i gurentee price is no faster than 4.4 and neither is randy moss. reconsider what you call fast. 40 times are overrated

ahhh...yeah, ok. 4.45 is plenty fast for a linebacker. Let me fill you in on a little tidbit of information. We are not looking for a "PLENTY fast" receiver. We are looking for a speed reciever. I'm not taking anything away from this guy, but he simply does not qualify for what we need. so forget the possibility.
