The Bills aren't being bashful about their interest in NC State quarterback Philip Rivers, one of the fastest rising players in the draft. Buffalo is in the market for Drew Bledsoe's eventual successor and taking a quarterback with its 13th pick is being heavily considered.

Obviously they aren't going to tip their hand but I think Rivers has a good chance of becoming a Bill.

barring trade ups and downs...if rivers is available at 12, hell be available at 19

Yeah, if the Bills really want Rivers and he's available at 13, I think they're better off trading down. Really, it's conceivable he could slide all the way to the second round. Miami has their QB (Feeley LOL). Green Bay is rumored to be in love with Losman wno is far more athletic. Who else would draft a QB? If that were to happen, then Buffalo could consider a trade to put them ahead of Pittsburgh.

chargers, browns, cardinals, giants, steelers...all teams that pick above us in the second round IF rivers makes it there. again, this is barring any trade ups

I will not be happy if they take Rivers with #13. I hope all of you are right about Rivers because I am not as high on him as most here. And it appears the Bills are at least somewhat interested.

I wonder if you have even seen any of his games, b/c if you had you would not be saying you aren't high on him. Rivers has never done anything but play big, and play w/ poise, i'm tellin ya if we get this guy, be happy, and feel lucky, instead of voicing your doubts.
