Comrie sits out because he wanted to be guaranteed first line play. His offer sheet was for 1.2 million, and Lowe stood his ground saying he had to earn his spot on the first line.
The Oilers trade him to Philly where he saw third line action and some limited 2nd line play. Then Philly finds he not that good so they shipped him to Phoenix where he has been just as futile. Serves him right!
Tonights game marks his return to Edmonton since this whole fiasco started. If I was there I would be booing his ass off the ice along with the other 17,000.
