All of the rumor "reports" make it sound like the Leafs and Devils are the teams leading the pack.

Last night provided the strongest indication yet that Sergei Gonchar has played his last game for the Washington Capitals, when 15 minutes before the opening faceoff of their contest with the Florida Panthers the defenseman was informed that he would be a healthy scratch in a game the Capitals went on to lose, 1-0, at MCI Center.

I think it's very sad. The Capitals are getting rid of their whole team. I think this is the beginning of the end for them.

It appears that the Bruins won the Sergei Gonchar "sweepstakes". I hope they had a need for a scoring blueliner, as he won't particularly bolster their defensive side of things:

Sergi had a really good game yesterday as a Bruin. :) I got to watch the Boston Caps vs. the NY Caps. lol I'm surprised that these players can be traded and go to a new team and fit in as well as they do. I know he'll me sorely missed on the Capitals. I hope he does well with the Bruins.
