Clump? Eb? If we only saved 26K, it was a stupid cut.

seriously, if that isn't a misprint, I will have lost all faith in the organization.

It's gotta be, otherwise no team would've cut a player just to save 26,000 bucks, unless your the atlanta hawks.

I remember either Eb or Clump explaining it. Technically, it's only a $26K savings because the roster bonus never kicked in. In reality, it's a much larger savings because that bonus would have added another $1.8M or so.

Some of us already knew it was a stupid cut.

I think you're right. The news said he would have gotten the 1.8 had he been on the active roster either Wed or Thurs, no matter whether he makes the squad in Sept or not.

Here's my two cents on Reuben...and its the same as it was when we let Fina go. He's been the whipping boy for some time now, (from myself included) and obviously his skills have eroded. They want to cut him loose, I have no problem with that as long as they have a plan for that position. Even though our passing game was abyssmal last year, Travis Henry did have another outstanding season. I would hate to see that part of our game drop off. Consistancy on the O line is where it all starts. Reuben did a lot of the small things well.

They also said on the news that neither party would comment on the season finale fiasco. Personally, I would like to see Donahoe come clean about this, as well as a few other things. He acts as if he works on Cheney's secret energy task force.

The Niners get about $10 mil of dead cap for releasing Garcia?

Since when did monkeys start running that team?

C'mon fellas, read between the lines, cutting Brown was more than just about the money.

At 11:03 Moore was there. Not a bad article if they keep getting the info updated within a couple of hours.

Thanks for the link
