I wonder what the numbers will be? We have a lot of holes to fill and can't spend all our coin on just one player.

From what I understand, they are planning to use him as a Right Guard, and keeping Teague at Center. Anyone else hear this? (WNSA is my source)

Before he even comes here to visit?!?! SWEET!!! It looks like this is our Jeff Posey type signing. Quickly and quietly. :D

Why move a probowl center to play RG, especially when our center sucks??

Woody is a good player that you guys will like. Quality lockerroom guy as well.

The Pats look like they will suffer another blow today, as Ted Washington is supposed to sign with Oakland. This is a little bit of a bummer because I thought they had a good shot at re-signing him and he is a key part of their run defense.

Ah well. Again, congrats. Woody is a very good, young player.

Weird I thought for sure that Ne was going to resign him or thought they already did.

It was reported they were close, but couldn't close the deal. The Contra Costa Times is reporting that he will be signed today.

Hmmm...didn't know about Big Ted going to Oakland. That makes the possibility of NE trading picks with Detroit that much more likely.

Dang. ESPN radio reported the other day that Ted had signed a multi-year contract to remain with the pats.

Peter King is pretty tight inside the pats organization- he broke the Milloy news (and possible Redskin tampering) last season. If it was an agent leak, it would be everywhere. Peter King doesn't come across as an "Agent Tool"

Boston has 2 competing sports pages, 2 competing sports radio stations, and 2 competing sports cable networks. I f an agent wanted to drive up the price with a story- he could do it much more effectivly.

Btw, Milloy? They dont play on the same side of the ball. And he'd want to play with Bledsoe? Lmao, every player wants to have to give up a bunch more sacks the nessicary while Bledsoe is sitting back in the pocket staring down a reciever for a half hour.

If the flames continue, we'll just split hte thread and send it to smack.

Start a Buffalo vs Miami chamber of commerce thread if you are interested,

It's not Peter King, though.

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2004/football/nfl/03/03/bills.woody/index.html

It's Don Banks.

Novacane

, and the Patriots were determined not to break the bank to keep him if his price tag approached the $5 million per year range.

I don't know if I want him for 5 mill per either.

It's Don Banks. Whoops- on my news feed it said

King: Bills near deal with Patriots' Woody CNN 15:55- I took that as Perter King, CNN/SI

Hey DD, when it first came up it said Banks and King! They took King off of it.

I have to say, when I travel to Buffalo, I find the women are more attractive then southern PA/Northern MD.

I dunno what it is, but when I come up, I find myself turning my head more often than around where I live. And some of us like Ice as opposed to humidity.

Damien Woody with the hopeful re-emergence of Marcus Sullivan, the two bookends in Williams and Jennings, the elimination of Ruben and all of his penalties, and having a veteran OL coach who is actually qualified instead of the highschool coaches we had before should make our OL one of the most formidable in the NFL.

Isn't $5 Million / yr a bit much for us to be paying Woody? I understand the importance of a strong OL, but I'm not sure this is the most prudent way to spend the money left under the CAP.

BTW, how do you turn on the ignore?

There is life to the Woody to Buffalo talk.

Rich Meyers Easton PA: Any truth to D Woody going to Buffalo? Ted Washington to Raiders? Thanks.

Chris Mortensen: (12:42 PM ET ) Yes, both these reports have life. The Bills have had a high priority of upgrading their interior O-line and Woody will do that, if they can finalize a deal. The Raiders want Ted Washington but they'll have to be careful with the contract
