I don't know what to make of this. Going back to the SI.com page there is no trace of the Don Banks article about Damien Woody and the Bills.

Maybe they found the information to be false...

I thought it was a good thing when he said they hadn't contacted Woody because I figured that meant we'd have him signed in 24 hours. Now that I see what Woody wants, plus the fact we got Villaramamamma, now I'm glad he wasn't lying.
