Restraint lasted only about one-half day for owner Daniel Snyder. ESPN.com has learned the Redskins have begun the refurbishing of their defense by reaching agreement in principle with unrestricted free agent Cornelius Griffin, a tackle who spent the first four years of his career with the New York Giants.

And there is more to come on the defensive side. Sources told ESPN.com that the Redskins will soon finish a deal with Seattle Seahawks cornerback Shawn Springs........

The deal with Springs, who was the third player selected overall in the 1997 draft and has played his entire career with the Seahawks, is moving quickly. The two sides have reached agreement on most of the key parameters of a deal and Springs is scheduled to arrive at the Redskins' complex on Wednesday evening.

Barring unexpected hangups, a deal with Springs, who will replace starting cornerback Champ Bailey in the secondary, should be consummated in quick order.

Okay, this is it. I'm getting so pissed off right now, I'm going to bed. Nice job, TD. Let a bunch of people start the FA process by bringing players in and talking contract, while you just sit on your hands...

Easy, Mikey. We really have no idea what TD is doing. He's Mr. Cloak & Dagger with his NFL dealings. He might be conducting all his business in the crapper so no one spying for ESPN, FOX, SI, etc. knows what's going on.

Tatonka i believe after cuts they had the same as we did, but as someone else pointed out they backlooad all thier contracts and essentially start over again in 2-3 years.

Great catch! No one was reporting anything about Vincent being here. Ya gotta love how sneaky TD is. He can drive you insane...but he sure is fun to watch. :snicker:
