John Tait. The Bears are too, but they are afraid they will lose out on Tait like they did with Kearse. Tait has a transition tag, but the Chiefs are right up against the cap, according to the Chicago Tribune (need to register for a link or buy a paper)

Here's a quote about it. I am registered. :D

Tait arrived in Miami on Wednesday night for a scheduled visit with the Dolphins that begins Thursday. The Bears have invited Tait for a visit Friday or Saturday.

The concern in the front office is Tait will became enamored with Miami and commit to the Dolphins before he leaves Florida, a source said.

The ample room the Bears have available under the salary cap allows them to offer Tait a contract that would be front-loaded. The Bears have structured an offer for Tait and the salary-cap-strapped Chiefs will have seven days to match it. The Chiefs tendered Tait a one-year deal worth $6 million when they slapped the transition tag on the five-year veteran.

Signing Tait would be a coup for the Bears, even bigger than the addition of Jones. Angelo envisions Tait taking over at right tackle where he would anchor a revamped offensive line.
