The first free agent move for the Detroit Lions was quiet and to the point.

The Lions agreed to terms with cornerback Dainan Sidney Wednesday, the first official day NFL teams can sign free agents.

The addition of Sidney may not grab the spotlight, but it did demonstrate Steve Mariucci's desire to stock up on talent in the defensive backfield now, and not scramble in September.

If Dainon Sidney were worth a dime, he'd still be with the Bills. I was hoping he'd pan-out for them but ended up being inactive mostly, IIRC.

that's an improvement for the Lions.it's small steps like this that will turn a losing franchise into a winning one.

We need a serious upgrade at FS. At times last year, I didn't realize we had a FS on the field.
