Jets Tinker With Defense To Free Up Cowart

With their defense in shambles, the New York Jets didn't perform any overhaul during their bye week. Instead, they tinkered in an effort to free up linebacker Sam Cowart to make more plays.

Cowart has been relatively invisible in the Jets' 1-4 start. The team's showcase free agency signing during the offseason, he's made few impact plays on a defense that ranks near the bottom of the league in every category.
