    Escaping the Texas scare

DON'T GET ME STARTED wondered which was the expansion team in the first half of Sunday's game. Up until the final moments, it seemed evident that Buffalo might suffer the humiliation of being beaten by Houston.

The way the Bills were riddled by David Carr for over 250 yards in the first half, falling behind 17-3, there was some musing about cities trading teams before the midway point of the season.

That the Bills defense righted itself in the second half to escape with a 31-24 win, still has fans puzzled heading to Miami to face the Dolphins. The question next Sunday is, will the Bills go in the fish tank against the Dolphins? So far this season, the coaching staff hasn't come up with a solution to the problems on defense. The Bills have given up more points than any other team in the NFL up to this point. Opponents are averaging 34 points a game. That's a lot to overcome.

FWIW: Your defense made a lot of really exellent adjustments Sunday. They totally shut down the young Texan Offense. :shelby:

We start 5 rookies and have 6 on the field when J Wells steps in though................. .......so Ya (Bills) gotta EXPECT some sucess.

Funny, Art's not too far off from my points of view...

      Hmmm!!
Replace Donahoe with Modrak and fire the entire coaching staff!
