Is that added $2 million for the cap at least part of the reason for all these record signings?

Where digustadumbass? I thought Miami was a done deal. :cynic: Who would pass up the fabulous city of Miami? Everyone knows there is nothing but sunshine, hotties, and no taxes there! :idunno: I guess Detroit is more appealing with their skyhigh crime rate and salt mines. Go figure!

Pass.

For that kind of money, no thanks. More power to Detroit.

Let Detroit have him...he gets his dough...they get another guy to block for whom? A piece of their puzzle but no immediate help for the money they are going to spend on him...buh-bye.

I have no problem with this. Again addition by subtraction and he is out of conference. Same with Winfield

I don't care what Digestivedumbass has to say. He's never had anything worth reading anyway.

Teams are being much better at cap management- there was $250 Million of free cap space BEFORE they announced the 2 Million per team boost.

Lions agree to terms with Damien Woody
Mar 05, 06:54

(Detroit-AP) -- The Detroit Lions have agreed to terms with former Patriots offensive lineman Damien Woody.

Terms were not immediately disclosed, but it has been reported that the Lions were offering Woody one of the richest contracts ever for an interior offensive lineman.

Woody played five seasons for the Patriots after being drafted in the first round out of Boston College. He was the team's starting center for the first four years, but moved to guard last year. He missed the A-F-C championship game and the Super Bowl after suffering a knee injury in the January playoff game against Tennessee.

Woody became a free agent after reportedly turned down a six-year, 22 million dollar offer to remain in New England.
