worth it if Will Smith falls to second round

Anyone think it would be worth it to take ANOTHER second round DE if Will Smith falls?

whoever drafts him, will eventually make him a linebacker....he's really an Eric Flowers clone.

i dont think hes quite the bust EF was, but T is right hes WAY small for DE. But it wouldnt shock me if he made a solid LB.

He will be gone mid 1st.

Sometimes I wonder where some of you get your ideas from. Even you so called "draft experts". Smith may not have the height of your ideal DE, he has the size. Whatever he lacks in that size, he makes up for it with speed. I don't see anyone changing him to LB. He can be a very good player on the field. He will need to work on his strength and aggressiveness. I can't see him falling to the 2nd round, but if he does I cannot see the Bill passing on him.

            Will Smith - 6'3" 275

            Last years sack leaders:
            Strahan - 6-5 - 275
            Ogunleye - 6-4 - 255
            Rice - 6-5 - 268
            Taylor - 6-6 - 260
            Ellis - 6-5 - 294

He's 260-265 not 275 at least according to his weigh in for the combine. He's really not that fast either concidering he ran a 4.7 and Kenechi Udeze is 277-280 and ran a 4.75.

In the 2nd round depending on what we did in free agency and the 1st round then yes I would go for him. Smith isn't is the same class as Freezey, Freeney was a lot faster quicker first step.

obviously i was exagerating with the freeney reference. im just saying not every light DE is going to be another eric flowers.

Mel Kiper has us taking him at 13.

I am a little pessimstic about him too but some tweener players can make a big impact. Kearse and Freeny were tweeners coming out of college too..

you just named off 5-6 players there.. do you want me to name off about 50 guys that were 260 that couldnt do anything at DE? he is not 275.. check the combine weights.. not the college he went to.. they are likely to tell you he is 6-9, 295, and runs a 4.3.

i like the little "draft experts" shot there too..

that is great news.. because he is about 20% in his predictions.. so that means that we definately wont be getting him!
