According to John Clayton's Quick Bits:

"Bills halfback Sammy Morris visited the Browns on Friday and will go to the New England over the weekend. The Patriots are looking to upgrade their backfield. They didn't keep Antowain Smith. Although they re-signed Kevin Faulk, the Patriots have only one halfback on the roster. The Browns have an opening for a running back after releasing Jamel White on Friday."

I really hope the Pats sign him, as he has size, good hands and is a very good ST player. Given the value the Pats place on ST, and the loss of Chris Akins to Miami, I think they will make a pretty big effort to get Morris.

Morris is only the 2nd player the Pats have had in for a visit, with DE Rodney Bailey being the other. Bailey is a RFA from the Steelers who the Pats have signed to an offer sheet.

IT's alright Shelby we have to spend out money a lot wiser then on a 3rd string RB. I know he was special teams captain but it isn't worth keeping him at probably a much higher price tag.
