Man, did you guys see Hicks' deal? It was pretty cheap!

I was just reading a article on Kansas City re-signing Eric Hicks...and it made me wonder. why didn't the Bills jump in? We could use a defensive end to complement Schobel. And 6 years for $19 million is pretty good, compared to the deal that Wistrom signed.

The Kansas City Chiefs have resigned Eric Hicks to a six-year, $19 million deal that includes a $3 million signing bonus.

He probably just wanted to return to the Chiefs.

Yeah, but still. He did make a few FA visits before this. And maybe we could have given him a little extra to come here. Oh well. Maybe we'll go DE in the draft...or Kelsay will prove to be a top DE this year.

Hey, according to TD we don't need another DE...we have Denney. I mean, TD says that we're too hard on him and that he played good last year. Yeah, right...if he was playing in a woman's league! This guy blows and everybody know it...get rid of the shmuck!!!

14 sacks.. then 3.5.. then 9.. then a big whopping 5 this year... that is inconsistent as hell.. no thanks.

oh.. and he played every game the last 3 years... so he doesnt even have the "injury" excuse for putting up 3 and 5 sacks in two of those years.

he has also always been on a horrible defense.. wonder if his performance is in some way connected.

he is far from an impact player..

i bet you 100$ that if kelsay starts all 16 games.. he gets a minimum of 5 sacks.

The more i read the boards, the more I thank god TD's in charge. I don't want to chase every Tom, Dick, or Harry with a contract.

Hey, what ever happened to that Hugh Douglas guy that everyone on this board wanted to sign last year? You'd think we could learn from other's experience instead of repeating the same mistakes?

I think Kelsay or Denney will step up and be a decent starter. Denney has been improving slowly but surely. I am willing to bet the production we get from Kelsay or Denney, or both will be about the same as anyone you would be getting in FA and you wont be paying them 3 mill a year.
