this is for Big doug, Buffalofan and Ebeneezer. they claim Lemieux is too old and Buffalofan laughs at the thought of him winning the scoring title. Well he has 7 points in his last 2 games, i am going to keep track of all his points on this thread just so you boys realize how wrong you were!

Actually, I'm just miffed because every time I had tickets to see him i.e. Sabres & Leafs in early 90's, Canadiens a few years back, by coincidence (not his fault) he's always been out of the lineup with an injury, etc. :)

From what I saw, he was kind of getting pushed around by a much bigger Center in Gratton. He's still one of the best passers and he actually made a few plays of defense

You are the man, but please let me know when I laughed about Lemieux winning the scoring title. It may have been last year when he came in at the midway point of the season but it surely wasnt this year.
Who wouldnt win the title when you own the team, most players constantly pass him the puck because they are afraid of being fired I guess. But hey, its all good .. hes on my fantasy team and needless to say I am in first place.
I was in 3rd but when I cut all my Sabre players I went right to the top .. go figure !

Yeah, I probably said that last year when he came back. He didnt end up with the title but he was amazingly close for all the games he missed. If he stays healthy he will win hands down this year.
He plays the Sabres tonight so you can add 5 or 6 more points.
And for the record, Lemieux has 45 points and the top scoring Sabre is Gratton with a whopping 18 points. Now thats pretty sad.
I really hate to keep knocking the Sabres but until a coaching change is made they will continue to embarass themselves. I have faith that Hamister will make it right when he takes over.

The point is, he can pile up the stats against the Nashvilles of the league, but in a playoff push- he's useless on the bench.
