I feel that the importance of the on the field presence of both the QB and the HC is vastly underrated. I want a damn the torpedoes, full steam ahead QB, not a mopey head hanger.

I'd take a Jim McMahon type over a Manning type any day of the week. Couch may have all the talent in the world, but he doesn't have the overwhelming desire to win.

Couch isn't even a good backup. When 99% of Brown fans want Holcombe starting over Couch, yet most of those fans want to get a new starter through FA or the draft, that has to tell you something about the loser.

Does anybody remember how pissed Raider fans were when they signed that 5th year, first round bust named Jim Plunkett? I'm not saying Couch will turn into Plunkett but it has happened before. You just never know with QB's.
